Since first discovering  the old masters and their ability to manipulate light through transparent glazes and luminous passages of color, I have been on a quest to create light-infused artworks. The oil painting medium could only take me so far, and ultimately painting on canvas has given way to painting on light. I believe that glass, in particular fused glass, is truly the ultimate painters medium. Unlike painting on a surface, the image is formed in a kiln, where colored glass in different forms is carefully placed, and allowed to partner with the elements of heat and gravity to create an art piece  alive with color and light.
